Keeping the same purview Civil Department under the mentorship of HoD- Dr. Sanjeev Gill, conducted a technical workshop on “Auto CADD” for Diploma and Engineering students on 20th February 2019. The workshop’s objective was to acquaint the students with contemporary trends in mechanical design in the construction industry. They were made
aware of the various software used in automation and designing.
In the modern era of technology, it becomes mandatory to be digital and save time leading to efficiency and accuracy. AutoCAD must
implement current attributes in building construction, giving attractive shapes and looks. In the workshop, students were given information about Auto Cad, its work area, and its importance. The speaker talked about the demand for cloud computing in the industry, providing information related to it. The trainer encouraged the students to get more and more practical training and also told them many important tricks to refine the students to their work skills. AutoCAD is a CAD software application. 2D and 3D design and drafting can implement. It was developed by a company named Autodesk in the year 1982 for the first time.
AutoCAD was the first Cad program to run on personal computers. It is the world’s most popular Cad program, with more than 30 million licenses. The students were given every theoretical and practical information about the subject in the workshop, making it highly informative and productive for them. Among the present dignitaries were Prof.(Dr.) Parul Goyal – Director, Dr. Vishant Kumar – Registrar, Dr. Sanjeev Gill – Head of Civil Engineering Department, Mr. Dheeraj Aggarwal – Principal (Diploma Engineering). Faculties and students were also present.
