The Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) Vaccines Trial In The Offing

The fear of COVID-19 peaks in India with a people count of some 1.3 billion, this is something due to the total fatality count of 20,000 people who succumbed to this disease.

Now, India stands at position 3 with total infections of some 7 lakh people got infected since April 2020. There are 128 countries globally and the government of each country is expediting the clinical process of developing a vaccine that can control the COVID-19 spread.

India is a topmost producer of generic medicines and has a share of 60 percent in the market for vaccines global supply India also extended help to as many as around 133 countries in supplying the required medicines and necessary drugs.

Comprehensive research and development on vaccines headed by Chief qualified scientists and medical professionals are underway in various top-rated Indian institutions namely the National Institute of Virology (NIV) in Pune, and the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad under premier bodies such as ICMR and CSIR.

COVID-19 Vaccine Status

In India two MNC Pharmaceutical firms namely “Bharat Biotech”, and “Zydus Cadila”, provide a ray of hope for the quick creation of a valid vaccine.

These vaccines “COVAXIN”, from Bharat Biotech, and “ZyCov-D”, from Zydus Cadila, would only be fruitful if they pass the clinical human trials standard as set by (The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation)

The Zydus vaccine is most probably carrying on the first and second phases of human trials in July 2020 onward after due permission from The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation)

The mass commercial usage license of these Vaccines will be possible from 2021 onward as said in a press release from the Ministry.

Scientists world over are on exclusive human trials of the vaccines that they have developed and out of a total of some 140 Vaccines being developed worldwide, only 11 are successfully being tested clinically on humans.

Other potential vaccines are, “AZD1222”, and, “MRNA-1273”, being developed by the top pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies such as, “AstraZeneca” in England and, “Moderna”, pharmaceutical in the United States.
