JB Institute of Technology always keeps a keen watch on current trends and practices in the contemporary corporate world. At the edge of professional grooming and development, a fantastic session of the Student Development Program on the topic “Role of Soft Skills and Effective Communication For Employability”, was organized by BBA Department on 23 rd February 2019 for BBA & Agriculture students. The speaker of this SDP Session was Mr. Akhtar Ali Khan, a high-spirited and tireless explorer of human consciousness and
behavior. Mr. Khan happens to be a passionate motivator to ignite and empower minds. He has consistently worked in various domains building and motivating personalities. At the outset, he brilliantly explained the relevance of effective communication .
Students were given the practical demonstration of various interview situations where they could utilize their presentation skills with the perfect synchronization of their knowledge and responsiveness. The speaker further explained the importance of being confident during various interview sessions. The students were made aware of their career objectives, effective communication, and negotiating skills at the time of the interviews. The students were also given effective tips regarding how to crack an interview successfully. According to the speaker Industrial Gap is one of the major barriers to sustaining a corporate. Students were enlightened on how to bridge up this gap and retain well in the organizations.
Tips on Time Management were also given to the students. Informative management games and interesting activities added grace to the beauty and grandeur of the show . The speaker went very spontaneous with his idea throughout the entire presentation and for this very reason, he was able to connect with the students in a very natural and productive manner. The students showed equal interest by responding to his questions and interrogations very precisely and accurately. Dr. S.S Rawat – HoD BBA, put the note of thanks in the end. All the faculties and students of the Management (BBA & Agriculture) Department witnessed the event. The event proved to be highly beneficial for the students.
