Extracurricular Activities In Engineering Colleges

Keeping the same connotation, the Applied science department of JBIT College of Applied Science students of BBA and B.Sc – Agriculture courses participated in the cultural and employment event ‘Youth Conclave’ , organized by the Government of Uttarakhand on 6th March 2019.

Co-curricular activities are non-academic activities that all students of JB Institute of Technology must participate in. This policy was introduced by the Ministry of Education, as a means to enhance social interaction, leadership, healthy recreation, self-discipline, and self-confidence. Co-curricular Activities form an integral part of studies at JBIT as they help to develop the self-confidence and self-esteem of the students.

Students’ Activities In Engineering College

University Co-curricular activities at JB Institute of Technology reflect the diverse interest of the students and lead to the all-around development of them. This mega cultural event happened to be at the Parade Ground, Dehradun. The theme of the event was “Yuwa Mahotsav- Towards Entrepreneurship and Employment”. About 20,000 students from various colleges and Institutes from the entire Uttarakhand participated in the event.

The concept of the event was specially framed for today’s youth who are actually living in a very struggling situation amidst hard work and employability. It was an attempt from the government to make students and aspirants aware of current employability requirements so that they could be made fit for it.

Co-curricular Activities For Applied Science Students

The event was inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Uttarakhand – Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat. He addressed the entire students and thereafter met the students of every school and college. Various other schools and colleges also participated in this event.

The students were dynamically led by Dr. S.S. Rawat (Head of BBA Department), Mr. Shubham Chaudhary (Head of Agriculture Department), and Mr. Kuldeep Joshi. The students displayed their entrepreneurial skills and intelligence at the same very time.

Extracurricular Activities In Engineering Colleges 

At the event, various stalls representing different companies were put on display where students were given every information regarding good employability. Several employment panels were formed where information regarding good and effective jobs was provided to the students.

Apart from it, various entertainment and amusement stalls were also plotted where students shared some light moments. The entire moment was filled with esteem excitement and fun. Every student was contented and delighted at the end. At noon the students were escorted back to the college in presence of the respective faculties.
