Career Paths for Mechanical Engineers
Mechanical Engineering is an engineering specialty that involves many different science principles for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. In order to be successful, it requires a solid understanding of key concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics and energy. Mechanical Engineers use these principles and others in the design and analysis of things like machinery, aircraft, automobiles, medical devices and much more.
Some Mechanical Engineers go on to get a postgraduate degree such as a Master of Science or Master of Engineering Management. The Master's and Engineer's degrees may consist of either research, coursework or a mixture of the two. There is also a Doctor of Philosophy program that consists of a significant research and is usually an entry point to an academic career.
Course Description
- Under Graduate: B.Tech course in Mechanical Engineering60 intake
Course Description: Mechanical engineering is a discipline of engineering that applies the principles of physics and materials science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It involves the production and usage of heat and mechanical power for the design, production, and operation of machines and tools. It is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines.
The engineering field requires an understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, and structural analysis.
This course aims at using these core principles along with tools like computer-aided engineering and product lifecycle management to design and analyze manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, heating and cooling systems, transport systems, aircraft, watercraft, robotics, medical devices and more.
