JB Institute of Technology was established under the aegis of Jai Bhagwan Educational Society with the aim of imparting higher knowledge in Science and Technology to the aspiring boys and girls so that they can emerge as competent scientists, engineers and technologists of repute..

JBIT was started in the year 2009, with the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education.The College started with 4 years B.Tech.(Bachelor of Technology) programme in disciplines of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering ,Computer Science & Engineering and Information technology.
From the academic year 2010-2011 the engineering discipline of Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering is being introduced.
We are also diversifying into other degrees like BBA ,BCA from this Academic Year 2010.
JBIT ideally located on a sprawling 25 acre campus on the National highway 72 Dehradun chakrata road known as green corridor of dehradun. The campus is fully wi-fi enabled and comprises aesthetically designed buildings that are networked by optic fibre links.
The Institution has established excellent infrastructure, including state-of-the-art computer and internet facilities, modern workshops and labs, seminar halls and well stocked libraries, in addition to sports and games fields.
